Advice on the Internet
There are no end of home brewing sites out there on the Internet and chat groups that will give you advice in unfamiliar units, refer to products you can't buy and brewing techniques that are unnecessary in the temperate British climate. A new generation of pasty-faced youths is being introduced to home brewing through the Internet. If they ever emerge from their bedrooms into the sunlight and stroll down to a local microbrewery they'll find communication with the brewer almost impossible. Perhaps a slight exaggeration...
Fortunately there's a forum where most of the participants are located in Britain where keen and knowledgeable brewers are ready to help the beginner (almost) twenty four hours a day - Jim's Homebrew Forum.
There are other Internet fora listed on our groups page, but for the beginner Jim's is the place to start.
